Street Styles represents self-expression. A high-energy class incorporating hip hop choreography as well as foundations of street styles (such as popping, locking, house & breaking).
Students start by learning the basic steps of each style and practising them until they feel comfortable. In this class they will learn classic moves such as the 6-step found in breakdancing Bart Simpson & the Smurf just to name a few.
This class builds children’s confidence, and they get to meet lots of new friends in a safe environment. We recommend adding on gymnastics with this class , as street dance can use a lot of upper body strength to perform breakdancing tricks the gymnastic class will complement the dancers and help master those more challenging moves.
